Modeling of Ashley

This is my first blog. I started a new project on blender a while back. Blender is a free software that lets someone do video games or movies/animations. I decided to use Blender for video game purposes. I did this character that I named Ashley. Here is a less detailed process.
I first drew her on paper, like at a random view, and colored her in. I liked how it looked, so I drew a front and side view of her. I did it on lined paper, so that the lines act more like guides. Things like the bottom of the nose in the front view needed to match the bottom of the nose in the side view. I then scanned the front and side view picture in on the computer.

I opened Blender, and set the image as a background image. I had two views, the front and side. I started with a cube. I went into edit mode and cut the cube in half horizontally. The left half was then deleted. I added a mirror modifier and began working. I ended up with a good looking model.
